shadow play
The things I do ...

Every year, around the end of January, I’m beginning to feel that winter should be over soon.
So I start going out, cutting little boughs from bushes and putting them in a vase and in a warm room.
A few weeks later they start to sprout and bloom.
It’s a bit like 'Barbara branches' but without the Christmas and with a bit less symbolism. Whereas I think fertility, life and hope are still there.
Every evening they to these great shadow plays:

I stop cutting branches when I’m feeling nature has cought up with my expectations, which is around nowish ...

Your shadow plays are really quiet beautiful! I love the delicate and fragile, almost dreamlike look of shadows. So beautiful..
The spelling-nerd in me also insinst to point out that you mean "life". Living it is what you do with your life :)

Shadow on the wall
How about painting some of the shadows? That way you could keep the nice pattern when spring is gone.
A bit off topic but fitting the theme to the letter at least: this just came to my mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&list=SRshadow%20on%20the%20wall&v=X7EyGwsdJ10#!
ON THE WALL, YES ...!
I’ve done different variations on this, but the pictures are taken from a single bough.
I can take more if you like.
